Sorry I haven't updated the blog/news in a few days but it has been a long weekend. I want to thank all those who made it down to Gusto's in Lexington on Friday. It was a great time and I look forward to doing it again. I want to try and make it more of a weekend getaway event the next time and try to get as many people as possible to make the trip.

CD setback!
Thanks to gas driving the cost of everything up, my deck project now cost $200.00 more than I originally planned. That combined with my lawn mower dying on me last weekend ($250.00) has caused me to dip into my recording fund. Don't worry this is a temporary setback and I will continue to write and polish up songs for the new CD.
I've really been thinking about making the new CD very acoustic.
Since most of my gigs are as a solo act I want to try and have songs that will transfer to this type of sparse arrangement so I feel more comfortable playing them out. Stay tuned!

Very sad news today for the local music community. I just learned that local singer/songwriter Katie Reider pased away after a two year battle with cancer. She was just 30 years young.
While I did not know Katie personally, I have heard her music and she had a beautiful voice. We actually play guitars made by the same local luthier Jamon Zeiler.
Not to sound preachy but this is just another reminder that life is often far too short and should be enjoyed to the fullest while you are here. I don't know why bad things happen to good people but for some reason they do and you can't explain it. I offer my thanks to Katie for being such a strong member of the Cincinnati music scene and my condolences to her family. For more on her story go to the following link

Hello everyone,
I am turning over a new leaf here on the website. These days it seems everyone and their mother has a blog so I have decided to turn my news section into-drumroll please........a blog.
I am going to be making an effort to provide some daily commentary on the world around me as well as trying to keep you up to date on the recording of my new CD. Feel free to react on my guestbook page.
